InterServer Continues to Bolster Network with Carrier Hotels, Transit Providers, Peering
SECAUCUS, NJ (6/9/2006) - InterServer, Inc., a New Jersey based web solutions provider,
announced today it has added several new carrier hotels, a transit provider, and an
additional peering point to its network as part of a series of additions designed to
increase capacity and reliability.
The new carrier hotels are located in New York City, and include TelX located at 60
Hudson, and Telehouse âlocated at 25 Broadway. Both sites allow InterServer to
connect and share data with hundreds of other data networks with presences at the
facilities.
"From a network administration standpoint, our new presence at these two carrier hotels
represents a huge step forward and enables our network to send and receive data to other
networks on much shorter route", said InterServer Chief Technical Officer John Quaglieri.
"We are fortunate as a company to be geographically close to such dense and high-capacity
infrastructure in the New York City area".
A gigabit connection to NYIIX, one of the largest neutral Internet exchange points on the
U.S. East Cost, was added as a peering point for the company. InterServer also upgraded its
PAIX peering connection to a gigabit line after only 3 months due to increased demand.
Additionally a new transit provider T-Systems (aka Deutsche Telekom).
As part of the addition, InterServer is offering free 1mbps bandwidth at TelX, Telehouse,
and its existing provider, Switch and Data. The company is also offering premium Internet
Protocol data transit up to 1000mbps at these locations.
