Support Incident Tracker, or SiT is a free help desk program that is web-based. It is run using PHP and
MySQL, both of which are available on all InterServer hosting accounts, making it fast and easy to get set
up. The main feature of this system is the ticket creation and tracking, which is commonly used for
troubleshooting issues. These tickets can have files attached to them to ensure all the information about
a particular issue is kept in one convenient location.
This is a fairly simple ticket tracking system that will be sufficient for individuals and even some small
businesses. One concern that many people will have with this solution is that it is not getting regular
updates. In fact, the last big release was done way back in 2012. While this will still work, it seems
unlikely that there will be new updates anytime soon, so should there be problems down the road, it
may not get fixed.
