Pixelpost is an open-source, standards-compliant, multi-lingual, fully extensible photoblog application for the web $5/month
We offer the best feature on the market
Pixelpost, a small photoblog application that's a no-brainer to set up and use. It's perfect for anyone wishing to regularly post their photos on the web like a blog. Unlike other blog engines out there, Pixelpost doesn't try to solve all of the worlds problems. Pixelpost simply does photoblogs, and it does them well. If you are looking for a full blown CMS or text-blog, Pixelpost isn't for you. But if you want something simple, and designed from the ground up for photobloggers, like yourself, you've found the perfect app.
PixelPost is a photo blogging platform that makes it easy for just about anyone to upload pictures and create content about them. This is more than just an image gallery, but offers the ability to really make a full website without any trouble. It is easy to use, free, and has a decent number of features. It is also a fairly small system, which doesn’t take many system resources to run well so you can use any shared hosting package from InterServer
The one real problem with PixelPost is that it isn’t getting updates. The last version was released back in 2009, so this is quite old. There are undoubted security issues, and the code it is written in is very outdated. This isn’t necessarily a huge deal for some people who just want to create a basic, personal site, but if you’re looking to actually attract and keep visitors, there are other options that are much better.
