It’s very hard to drive quality traffic to a newly made blog. When you start a new blog, you don’t have e-mails that generate traffic nor do you have articles ranking on google for targeted keywords which typically aid in traffic.

It becomes very hard to drive traffic in such cases. When I started my first blog, I was like “How can I drive traffic to my blog? If I don’t have an audience”.

After working on 3 different blogs with a combined total of 1.5 years of experience. I finally nailed down the right method to developing a blog. Currently, I am working on 3 similar blogs which are receiving a good amount of targeted traffic along with a monetary benefit.

It’s important to remember, that the blogs in which currently generate money took time to develop. In this article, I will outline the right process to follow when looking to build your blog. Using the techniques that I am going to show you, you can develop targeted traffic and sales too!

Let us get started!

1. Target Low Competition – High CPC Keywords

You can’t predict how much CPC you are going to get for any keyword just by seeing it. Therefore we have another way to figure out how much a keyword is worth.

If you regularly use Keyword planner for keyword research, you might have noticed the Column name.

CPC of the keyword remains between 60-70% of the suggested bid of any keyword. I have a real-time example in order to show you how to find Low Competition and High CPC keywords.

To make it easier for you, I’ve broken down the process into the following steps…

  1. Enter the main keyword in keyword planner and seek ideas of keywords related to the main keyword. Here is an example…

google-drive

After getting the list of the keywords, just sort through the list from the suggested bid. Here are the results in which I received.

google-drive2

As you can see, these are the keywords that have the highest suggested bid in the niche.most The keywords having the highest suggested bid will, in turn, have the lowest search volume.

The reason why I am advising you to target keywords having a low search volume is because, in most cases, your competitors will overlook such keywords. Therefore creating less competition.

After selecting some of the stronger keywords from keyword planner, I recommend looking into how many results generate with the exact same keyword in the title of the page.

Follow the steps below:

allintitle:“Your_Keyword_Here”

When you search the above-given string in google along with your keyword, the number of results in Google will be the pages that have exact matches to the keyword in the title.

Least Number of results = Low competition!

2. Guest blogging still works

According to Google, if you do a guest blog, you will be penalized. However, this doesn’t always hold to be true.

Guest blogging will generate traffic as well as backlinks but it is only effective if you don’t do guest blogging for the sole purpose of backlinks and traffic only.

If your readers or others find your content useful, they’ll more than likely visit your site as well as possibly subscribe!

Here is a Quick Tip when it comes to Guest blogging!

Never Ever take backlinks from the author box, only take contextual backlinks from the blog in which you are guest blogging for.

There are chances of getting penalized if you make backlinks from the author box. Google has banned several article submission sites and it still does! Blogs in which accept lots of guest articles are not considered different than the article submission sites.

If are not well versed on the blogs that can accept guest articles in your niche, you can use the below-given footprint to find…

inurl:“write-for-us” your_niche_here

Search this in google replacing your_niche_here with the precise niche in which you are focusing on.

This technique works effectively for any niche.

Conclusion: If you are working on new blog, you can follow these techniques in order to drive high-quality traffic to your blog.

These techniques work for a variety of blogs across any niche! I have utilized all of the techniques outlined above and they have yet to fail me!
