I have a CentOS 7 server with Xen hypervisor and also Virtualizor as Control panel to manage VPS.
I have made some settings and rebooted the server but now server is not booting from my kernel.
I have checked and found that my kernel is old and need to install new updated kernel on server. I have login through rescue mode and mounted the partition but not able to install the updated kernel.
Can someone help me regarding installing and boot the server with the new kernel?

I suggest try booting the old kernel. If that is not available for some reason, in rescue mode your next best option is to

* make sure network is started
* chroot /mnt/sysimage (assuming you have booted via the rescue cd)
* use yum to install the latest kernel.

exit out and reboot

Choose the new kernel on bootup at the boot menu. Or you may need to update the default kernel in grub config file and then rerun grub-mkconfig

Actually server is not rebooting so i can't run grub-mkconfig.
I have set the new kernel in grunenv file and rebooted the server but it still caching the old one.
Any clue why?
