Both openvz25 and openvz27 are scheduled for a bios update. This is to fix a problem with raid and the latest openvz kernels causing hung processes.

VM's will be shut down with memory in tact. On bootup the running processes will resume as if there was no reboot.

We have found this is not bios related.

Known Issue (PSBM-21008) which parallels has fixed in kernel 042stab078.28

OpenVZ does not yet have this kernel however InterServer has a support contract with parallels and has applied this kernel on

Openvz25,26 and 27

The new kernel is applied on all servers running 2.6.32, now with ksplice so a reboot was not needed.

This locking up issue has been resolved.
