Access phpMyAdmin from domain directly

In this documentation, we can check how to access phpMyAdmin from your domain directly.

 

1) Download the latest version of phpMyAdmin. You can use the following URL to download the stable version of phpMyAdmin.

Access phpMyAdmin directly

 

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# wget https://files.phpmyadmin.net/phpMyAdmin/4.4.15.4/phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages.tar.bz2

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# tar jxf phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages.tar.bz2

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# ls

./  ../  phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages/  phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages.tar.bz2

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]#

 

2) Extract the package.

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# tar jxf phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages.tar.bz2

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# ls

./  ../  phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages/  phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages.tar.bz2

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]#

 

3) Rename the folder to phpMyAdmin.

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# mv phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages phpMyAdmin

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# ls

./  ../  phpMyAdmin/  phpMyAdmin-4.4.15.4-all-languages.tar.bz2

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]#

 

4) Upload the phpMyAdmin folder to ‘/home/username/public_html/phpmyadmin’.

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]# mv phpMyAdmin /home/qweqwe/public_html

root@localhost [/usr/local/src]#

root@localhost [/home/qweqwe/public_html]# ls

./  ../  cgi-bin/  .htaccess  phpMyAdmin/

root@localhost [/home/qweqwe/public_html]#

 

Now you can access the phpMyAdmin using the following URL.

http://domainname.com/phpmyadmin

Make sure to replace the domainname with your exact domain name.

 

That is how we can access the phpMyAdmin directly from your domain.
