Does adding an address allow access to your computer OR prevent access. Mt fax provider has asked users to assure a particular address will be allowed, so I need to get this right. Thank you.

You should only add an ip address that needs such acess. I have a stsic ip address for a camera that you can’t ping if the access is not permitted. But the computer ip address is already covered under the network settings.

I did all of the steps correctly, but on the last one when I click OK it says “you must specify a valid address”. Why is that?
