InterServer shared hosting plans, by default, have all IPs are blocked connecting to mysql. In order to allow an IP, it must be added to an access list.

Log into cpanel
Scroll down to the Databases section.
Click on the Remote MySQL icon.
Enter the ip address (you can see the IP at http://catchmyip.com)
Click the Add Host button.

The mysql port to connect to is 3306. You can connect to the server hostname / your domain name / ip address to port 3306.

You can use % as a wildcard. For example

% for all ips

192.168.% for all ips in 192.168

0.00 avg. rating (0% score) - 0 votes

You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.
