How to Change Default Time Zone in Drupal

As there are different timezones in different parts of the world, Drupal allows you to set the timezone based on your location of operation.

Update/Change Timezone in Drupal
First of all, Log in to the admin panel of your Drupal site and click on the Configuration option from the main menu of the admin panel. Refer to the following screenshot for clarity.
On the Configuration panel, you will find a Regional Settings option somewhere in the bottom-right part of the page. Click on that option to update settings related to location.
On the Regional Settings page, you will see a Timezones section that will allow you to update Timezone settings. It will look exactly like the section highlighted in the following screenshot.
Under this section, select the desired timezone from the dropdown labeled with the Default time zone text.
Once you have selected the desired timezone, click on the Save Configuration button given at the bottom of the page to apply changes.
