Configure Mail Settings in Joomla
Posted on March 4th, 2017
Joomla, just like WordPress, is also a feature-rich content management system. Joomla has a market share of 6.7% in the content management systems market. It provides a great interface to create and publish awesome content on the internet. Many popular websites run on Joomla. While some websites do not send automatic E-mails, but the system can be modified to create a different type of websites like eCommerce stores that requires you to send E-mails to your customers.
The main thing you have to take care of while sending the E-mails is, they should arrive in the Primary or Updates section of your customer’s inbox. The best way to ensure this is to set up proper From email, From name and the SMTP server to relay your automated or bulk E-mails to your customers. With SMTP, your E-mails are sent from your Email service provider’s servers so you don’t have to worry about email deliverability.
If you want to send bulk or automated emails from your website, you should have a proper name and from email ao that your customers can easily identify your E-mails. Joomla provides us an interface to update the Mailing information so that it can use that information to send Emails. So, let’s get started with the tutorial.
