Configure PayPal Payment Extension in AbanteCart

AbanteCart is one of the most popular open-source eCommerce software. Using AbanteCart, you can create an online store to sell goods. It is a feature-rich piece of software that allows you to manage almost everything directly from the Administration panel. Every E-commerce store needs an online payment system to accept payments online. In AbanteCart, you can also set up payment methods directly from the admin panel.

In this short tutorial, I will show you how to set up PayPal Payment extension in your AbanteCart store. It is a fairly easy and straightforward process. So, Let’s see how to configure PayPal payment extension in AbanteCart.

Configure PayPal Payment Extension in AbanteCart

To perform this action, you must have administrator access to your AbanteCart store. If you have Administrator access, log in to your admin panel and click on the Extensions option available in the left sidebar of the admin panel.

To make it easier to understand this process, we have attached a screenshot highlighting the section of the page, just like the following screenshot.

After clicking on the Extensions option, you will get a drop-down with a few more sub-options. Find Payments from the options and click on it.

As I mentioned above, AbanteCart is a feature-rich piece of software. You can have multiple payment methods on your eCommerce store. From the list, find PayPal. It will look just like the following screenshot.

Now, Click on the Install button corresponding to the PayPal payment gateway to install the PayPal payment extension in your AbanteCart store.

Once the installation is complete, it will redirect you to the page that will show you the information about the payment gateway just like the following image.

Now, Fill up the form with the required information and hit the save button to complete the configuration. In this form, you have to enter your PayPal E-mail address, Status, Mode and much more. If you want to test the payment gateway before making it live, set the sandbox mode to Yes, otherwise, set it to No.
