Create Knowledgebase in WHMCS

If you have an online business, you need a knowledge base. Especially if you are running a SaaS product or a web hosting company. If you are running a Software as a service product, you need knowledgebase to teach users how to use your software efficiently. If you are running a web hosting company, A good knowledge base can help your customers solve issues they are facing while deploying their site.

WHMCS allows you to manage billing, support and everything in between. It also allows us to create and manage Knowledgebase directly from the WHMCS. You can add and manage different categories along with the articles on your knowledge base. Having knowledgebase is really important as it can save a lot of time for your customers. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to create a knowledgebase in WHMCS.

First of all, log in to your WHMCS panel and hover on the Support option given in the main menu. You will see a drop-down menu with more options. Click on the Knowledgebase option to navigate to the Knowledgebase management section. Refer to the following image to locate the option.

On this page, you will see two options just like the following image. First of all, let’s create a category. To create a category, click on the Add Category button.

Now, Enter the category name and the description. You can also create a hidden category by checking the Tick to Hide option given beside the Category name field. After entering all the required information, click on the Add Category button given at the bottom of the form.

Now, your category is ready. You can delete the category by clicking on the Delete icon given after the category name.

To create a new tutorial in your knowledge base, click on the Add Article tab in the category manager. It will redirect you to a new page to enter the Article name. Enter the title of the article and click on the Add Article button, just like the following image.

Now, Enter the title, Categories, display order, Tags, Content and everything you need to enter to create an article. Once done, click on the Save Changes option given at the bottom of the form. It will immediately create a new article in your knowledgebase.

So, this is how we can create and manage Knowledgebase in WHMCS. The knowledgebase is an important part of any web application. It can be used to get potential customers from the search engine. And it can also help your customers solve the issues they are facing.
