Create New Server in WHMCS
Posted on April 19th, 2016
WHMCS is a complete billing, support, and client management system, mainly for web hosting companies. If you are running a web hosting company, you get complete administrative access to the backend of the cPanel, that your customers can use to automate many processes on the server.
As the number of servers you need to run your business is not certain, you can also add new servers to your cluster to add more resources for your customers and to acquire new customers. It is a fairly easy and straightforward process if you are using WHMCS to manage your clients, support and other aspects of your web hosting business. So, Let’s get started with the tutorial.
Create New Server in WHMCS
First of all, log in to your WHMCS account. Then, hover on the Setup option given in the main menu. It is a drop-down menu that contains detailed options. Now, Move your mouse on the Products/Services option to see a sub-menu. Click on the Servers button. Refer to the following screenshot to locate the Server option in your panel.
On this page, you will see the list of servers available in your system. To create a new server, click on the Add New Server button as highlighted in the following screenshot. It will redirect you to a page where you can enter information about your new server. In this section, you can also create and manage groups of servers.
On this page, Enter all the required information like Name, Hostname, IP address, and other information like that. After entering all the required information, scroll down a bit to the second part of the form.
In the next section, enter the nameservers you want to set for that server along with the IP address of each of them.
In the last section, Enter the server access information so that WHMCS can connect with your server. If it is a cPanel server, you have to enter the Access hash.
Finally, click on the Save Changes button given at the bottom of the page to finally add the server to your WHMCS system.
