Create Support Department in WHMCS

WHMCS is a popular web host manager. It allows you to run a web hosting business from cPanel’s interface to billing and support. With WHMCS, you can manage almost every part of your web hosting business. It has an awesome support system that is convenient for customers as well as administrators. As the hosting business grows, we need multiple support departments for different purposes. For example, the Sales department, Technical issues department and such, you get the idea.
If you are running your hosting business on WHMCS, you can create and manage multiple support departments directly from the WHMCS admin panel. You don’t have to install any addons and you also don’t need too much technical knowledge to perform these tasks. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how easy it is to manage support departments in WHMCS. So, let’s get started with the tutorial.
Create a Support Department in WHMCS
First of all, log in to the admin panel of your WHMCS panel, Once there, move your cursor on the Setup option. Now, you will see a list of options available under the setup. Move your mouse on the Support option from the list to reveal a few more options under the support section. Under the support section, click on the Support Departments option. To make this easier to understand, I have attached screenshots after every step of the process.
Now, you will see a page with the list of support departments available in your WHM. You will also see a button with text Add New Department. Click on that button to navigate to the page where you can create a new department.
On the new page, you will see a form just like the following image. In this form, enter all the information regarding the support department you want to create. You can also assign Admin users in the same form.
After entering all the information, click on the Add New Department option given after the form to save changes.
Once the department is saved, you will see a success message on the new page and your new department will appear in the list of support departments available in your WHM.
