Enable SEO Friendly URLs in WHMCS

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to enable SEO Friendly URLs in WHMCS. If you don’t know much about SEO friendly URLs, let me tell you about that in brief.
SEO friendly URLs allows you to simplify the URL of all the pages on your site. The URL you can see right now in the URL bar is an SEO friendly URL. An SEO Friendly URL contains the category of the Post and the slug of the post containing few important words. It is especially beneficial when it comes to SEO. It is because search engines will give more priority to the page containing keywords in the URL.
If you have a really good Knowledgebase or you plan to create it, It is good to enable SEO friendly URLs. It will drive more traffic to your site from search engines. So, let’s get started with the tutorial.
Enable SEO Friendly URLs in WHMCS
First of all, log in to your WHMCS account. Now, click on the Setup -> General Settings option from the main menu. Follow the screenshots for a visual representation of the steps.
On this page, you will see multiple tabs. Click on the Support tab which contains an option to enable SEO friendly URLs.
Now, Tick the check-box in the section ‘KB SEO Friendly URLs’ to enable SEO friendly URLs. Please note that you need to rename the .htaccess.txt to .htaccess in the root directory.
Finally, click on the Save Changes button to apply the changes.

Unfortunately this only changes a few general pages….does not change the product pages. You only get maybe 6-8 or so pages with SEF URLs.
