Posted on December 7th, 2017

cPanel is the most used control panel in the World through which we can manage our websites and settings easily via a User-Friendly interface. InterServer provides all the features on cPanel for our customers including unlimited domain hosting and unlimited Email accounts and databases, some hosting providers don’t provide all the features. Our Standard Webhosting package comes with cPanel control panel to manage your websites, the migration process between cPanel to cPanel is very easy. FastComet hosting also provides cPanel control panel, so we can easily migrate your websites over to your account with us easily. In this tutorial we assume you already have a Standard Hosting package with us, so let’s begin with the steps to migrate your website from FastComet to InterServer.

cPanel Migration from FastComet to InterServer

The first step is to login to your cPanel with FastComet to generate a full backup of your account. There are two ways to access FastComet cPanel, you can either access cPanel login page via below URL or via FastComet Client area. Make sure that the domain is correctly pointing to the FastComet hosting and replace with your exact domain name.

Once you are logged in you need to generate the full cPanel backup via the Backup option in the cPanel. Click on “Backups” under “Files” tab, this will open a new Interface through which you can generate a full website backup.

Click on “Download a Full Website Backup” and this will generate a full backup and stored it to your Home Directory.

You can select Home Directory as your Destination and enter your email ID in which you would receive confirmation mail once the backup generation is completed. Then click on “Generate Backup” button to initiate the backup process.

Download the Backup and Upload it to InterServer

Once you received the backup completion email, you need to login to your cPanel again and click on “File Manager” feature. Download the generated backup file on your Home Directory into your local machine via FTP client such as FileZilla.

Once the backup downloaded then upload this backup to your InterServer cPanel account either via cPanel’s File Manager feature or via FTP client such as FileZilla. You can have a look at our KB for how to transfer files over FileZilla to your account at

Once it is completed, you need to open a ticket for restoring the backup file so that our support team will do the restoration for you. You could open a ticket from your Client Portal at >> Support >> Open New Ticket. Also, if you need to restore any particular domain only then please mention that scenario clearly on your ticket. Our support team will get back to you shortly via ticket regarding migration process.
