How to Add New User in Moodle?
Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a free and open source software written in PHP for learning management system. It is the leading virtual learning environment and it can be used in many environments such as education, training, and development. Moodle is primarily developed in Linux using Apache, PostgreSQL/MySQL/MariaDB, and PHP sometimes known as the LAMP platform. In this tutorial, we are going to discuss how to add a new user in Moodle. The admin user can add new users and assign privileges.
1) Login to your Moodle Dashboard using your username and password.
2) Navigate to the option ‘Site administration’.
3) Select the ‘Users’ tab.
4) Click the option ‘Add a new user’ under the ‘Accounts’ section.
5) On the ‘Add new user’ page, fill out the required fields. The required fields will be shown in red color and they are the Username, New password, first name, Surname, Email address, City/town, and Select a country. Once these values are set, click the button ‘Create user’.
6) After clicking the option ‘Create users’, the user’s list will appear with the users in the Moodle database, you can also view this from the ‘Site administration > Users > Accounts > Browse the list of users’.
