How to Translate WordPress Website using Weglot
Step 1: Goto the WordPress Dashboard using your Username and Password.
Step 2: Hover the cursor on the Plugins tab section. Now click the Add New option, as seen in the image below.
Step 3: On the Add New plugin page, click on the search bar field and search for Weglot Translate.
Step 4: Search for the right plugin from the search results. Then, click the Install Now button, as seen in the image below.
Step 5: After successfully installing the plugin, the Activate button will replace the Install Now button. Click on the Activate button to start using the plugin on WordPress.
Step 6: After activating the plugin, we’ll have a new option in the WordPress tab. Find and Click on the Weglot option. See the image below as a reference.
Step 7: On the Weglot configuration page, the first setting is Main Configuration. This configuration will need several details, such as the API Key, The native language of the website and the Languages you need to translate.
Step 8: Add the API Key, one of the most important to complete the configuration. You’ll need to create a Weglot account and copy the API key from your personal Weglot account. Click on the Weglot link to create an account on Weglot. See the image below as a reference.
Step 9: In the second field, select your native language. In this example, we’re selecting English.
Step 10: The last field is here to select the languages you want to convert to the website. Click on the field and choose the languages shown in the image below.
Step 11: Just below the Main Configuration, there’s another section called Language button design. This section will allow you to customize the Language button.
Step 12: This section will help you change the language button’s look and feel. Choose the options as per your design. See the image below as a reference.
