How to Embed Google Forms in a WordPress Site

We can use it for collecting data from a large population, and anyone with a web browser can fill it. There is no limit to how many people can fill out forms simultaneously, and multiple users can collaborate on the same form simultaneously. Forms are saved in Google Drive, meaning they have full access to all their data.

Google Forms has many built-in features, including text fields, checkboxes, drop-down menus, and radio buttons. It can also send email notifications when new data is added to the form or when there are errors in it. In addition, it also has an export function that allows users to download their data in CSV or XML format. It also has integrated editing tools that enable users to edit the data in Google Docs. This free online tool is available for anyone, no matter their technical or design expertise. All you need is a Google account and an internet connection.

History of Google Forms

Google Forms is an online form builder and question creator by Google. It was launched in March 2008 as a web application. Since then, it has become the most popular choice among students, teachers, and professionals looking for a simple and effective way to create surveys, polls, and forms online. The tool allows users to develop custom-designed surveys with a wide range of options, including text boxes, drop-down menus, date pickers, and checkboxes. Once completed, Google Forms automatically sends the results to the participant’s email address or provides a link to view them online. In addition, We can also use Google Forms to collect feedback, track progress or gather signatures for petitions, as we discussed.

So, in this article, we will learn how we can embed a Google Form on any WordPress page. But before that, we have to create a Google form, and then we will add some basic types of Questions that can display different types of data. Then We will link the form on our website pages. Copy Google Forms Embed Code

First, we must create a basic form using Google forms. To create a form, we need to sign up on the Google Forms official page and create a form.

We’re creating this form to embed on our WordPress website. To do that, we need an HTML embed code of this form so that we can use that on the site. To copy the HTML Code, click on the Send button on the top right of the display. Once you click on it, one pop-up box with a Tab option will pop up. Click on the “<>” last tab option, as seen in the image below.

Click the Copy button to copy the code. This HTML Code will help you to embed this form on our websites. See the below image as a reference.

Congratulations, we just successfully created a form. Now, let’s embed this form within your WordPress website page.

How to Embed Google Form on WordPress Website

As we discussed, we can easily create a complete form with all the required questions. Based on the tutorial, we will learn how to embed this form on any WordPress Website and collect important information. To embed this form with your WordPress website, we need to add the HTML code of the form to the required page or location. It’s an easy process. Follow the steps after copying the HTML code.

Step 1: Goto your WordPress Website’s Admin Area and log in using your Username and Password.

Step 2: Then, Hover your cursor on the Pages tab section and click on the Add New option, as seen in the image below.

Step 3: As you can see in the image below, We’re redirected to the Web Page editor. Enter the appropriate name of the page on the first field.

Step 4: Now, click on the “+” icon with a field called “Type/ Choose a block”. Then search for HTML in a search field, as seen in the image below. 

Step 5: Here, we have a block called Custom HTML in the search results. Click on it to add a new HTML block to this page. 

Step 6: Once you click on custom HTML, you will notice a new field with text like “Write HTML” just below the Page Title. See the below image as a reference. 

Step 7: Now, click on that field and Paste the HTML Code of Google Form, as you can see in the image below. 

Step 8: Now, click the Publish button to publish the page. The Publish button is available on the top right side of the screen, as you can see in the image below. 

Step 9: The Google Form HTML is successfully uploaded using WordPress Pages. Click on the View Page button to see the form on your WordPress website. See the below image as a reference. 

Example: In the image below, the form is live on the internet on my WordPress website page. Like this technique, you can easily upload unlimited forms and collect different data using posts.
