Step 1: First of all, go to the “PublishPress” option on the left-hand side panel of the WordPress dashboard. Then select the “Settings” option.
Step 2: Now, you will have a setup panel. You can modify four sections – General, Calendar, Metadata, and status. First, select the “General” option. In this section, you can edit the content overview. It allows you to add content to the post types. Also, it allows you to modify the notification settings. You can enable the option “Notify me” or “Stop notify me” option. Then you can insert the email and website name. You can notify the author of the content and users who have edited the content as well.
Step 3: After that, scroll down to the “Notification Workflow” section. You can enable “notify on editorial comments” and “notify when content is published” options. Also, the plugin lets you choose any features you want, such as metadata, Calendar, statues, notifications, content overview, and any more options. Enable the features you want. First, enter the name of metadata fields, then insert the slug and description. It lets you select the type of metadata and enable the option if it is viewable to users or not. Once you are done with editing, then click on the “Save New Metadata Term” button.
Step 7: Now, go to the “Status” tab. You can show the status dropdown menu on the post editing screen. Click on the “Save Changes” button. If you want to add a new status field, click on the “Add New” tab under the status section. First, you have to add the description and name of the status. Then it allows you to edit the color for the identity of the status and select the icon for status. Once you are done with editing, make sure to click on the “Add New Status” button.
