How to Set Domain Redirection in Webuzo?

The domain’s redirection is a technique for making the web pages available under more than one URL.  If we set redirection for a domain, when we accessing the domain it will load a web page with different URL. You can set domain redirection if you have duplicate contents, you have changed your domain to a new domain and if you have multiple domains. We can set the temporary redirection (302 Redirect) or permanent redirection (301 Redirect).

The most common methods for implementing redirection is the permanent redirection. The temporary redirections are not used very often.  Temporary redirection used when you are temporarily moving a page, but have the intention to move it back to the old URL.

 

The steps for adding redirection for domains in Webuzo are listed below:

1) Login to your Webuzo End user panel.

2) Selects “Redirects” from the category “Domain”.

3) Select the domain name which you wish to redirect to another URL from the “Select Domain” field.

4) The second field is “Path”, you can specify the path of the particular directory you wish to redirect to another URL. If you wish to redirect your top-level domains to another URL, then keep this field blank.

5) In this step, select the type of redirection. If you need temporary redirection, then select “Temporary” from the drop-down menu. Otherwise, select “Permanent” from the drop-down menu.

6) In this step, specify the URL to which you wish to redirect your selected domain or directory. You can specify this in the “Address” filed.

7) After entering all the fields with correct information, click on “Add Redirect”.
