Install new extension in AbanteCart

Just like every Content Management System or eCommerce application, AbanteCart also allows you to install additional extensions to increase the functionality of your eCommerce store. Unlike WordPress, the extensions in AbanteCart are categorized and properly arranged. So, It is easier to install an extensions in your AbanteCart store.

In this short tutorial, I am going to show you how to install an additional extension in your AbanteCart store. To perform this action, you must have administrator access to the store. So, Let’s get started with the step-by-step tutorial. To make this process even easier to understand, I have attached a screenshot with each and every step.

Install New Extension in AbanteCart

First of all, Log in to your AbanteCart admin panel. Once there, click on the Extensions option given in the left sidebar of the admin panel just like the following screenshot.

The extensions in AbanteCart are categorized. It means that either you can directly open the category in which you can find the desired extension or you can also click on the All categories to get a list of all the extensions available for AbanteCart.

Now, select an extension you want to install and click on the Play button corresponding to the extension you want to install in your eCommerce store.

Now, If required, AbanteCart will allow you to configure your extension. For example, If you have installed the PayPal Payment gateway extension in AbanteCart, you have to enter information like your email and other similar information. Enter the required information and click on the Save button given at the bottom of the form.

Now, You can change the status of the extension directly from the list of extensions. You can change the status of On or Off depending on your requirements.

To Uninstall an extension, click on the X button corresponding to the plugin you want to uninstall. It will safely uninstall the extension.
