How to Install osCommerce from Softaculous

osCommerce is an eCommerce store management system built in PHP. It is normally used by sites having lower traffic. So, If you want to start a local eCommerce store without technical knowledge or a programmer, you can use osCommerce. It is a very lightweight framework with a codebase of 6MB only. With osCommerce, you get more than 9000 free add-ons that allow you to add more functionality to your store.
If you have a web hosting account, you can install osCommerce on your domain name in minutes. It also does not require any technical knowledge. So, Let’s get started with the tutorial.
Install osCommerce from Softaculous
First of all, log in to your cPanel account and click on the Softaculous Apps Installer under the software section.
It will redirect you to a Softaculous user interface that allows you to install content management systems with few simple clicks. In Softaculous, click on the osCommerce application under the E-commerce section.
You can also search for osCommerce in the search function given on the top-left corner of the page.
On the osCommerce page on Softaculous, click on the Install button just like the following image. The install page will contain a form to set important installation information.
In the first section, you have to select protocol, domain, and directory. If you want to install osCommerce directly on the domain name, keep the In Directory field empty. In the second section, enter Store name, Store Owner and Store Address.
Finally, set the admin login information and then click on the Install button given at the bottom of the form.
