Install phpBB from Softaculous

phpBB is a popular Forum platform built in PHP. Today, you can find a forum on any topic you desire on the internet. phpBB powers hundreds of thousands of forums on the internet. As it is popular, Softaculous provides automatic installation for phpBB. It means that you do not have to follow the traditional method to install and configure phpBB on your server, you can directly install it with few clicks using Softaculous.

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to install a phpBB forum on your domain name using the Softaculous app installer.
Install phpBB from Softaculous
First of all, log in to the cPanel of your account. On the cPanel, look for the Softaculous Apps Installer option. It will look like the following image. You can follow this tutorial visually by referring to the screenshots given after every step.
Now, It will show you the list of popular platforms from different categories on the home page. Hover on the phpBB card to see a few more links related to phpBB. If you are unable to find it on the main page, you can find it from the left sidebar. Once found, click on the Install button to move to the next step.
On the installation page, you have to enter details like Protocol, Domain name and directory. If you want to set up a forum directly on the domain name, keep the In Directory field empty. After that, Enter the board information like Name, Description, Email and more.
Finally, enter the Admin account details in the last section of the form. Once done, hit the Install button given at the bottom of the page to start the installation process.
It will start the installation. And it might take a few minutes because it has to download the software and connect it with the database. Once it is done, you will see a success message along with the admin URL and forum URL just like the following image.
