Install Shipping Extension in AbanteCart

In this tutorial of AbanteCart, we will see how to install an additional shipping extension in the store. AbanteCart is an open-source eCommerce software that allows you to set up an eCommerce store of your own. It has many extensions with different variations that allow you to quickly set up different shipping methods in your store.

In this tutorial, we will install the FedEx shipping extension in our AbanteCart store. To perform this action, you must have administrator access to the AbanteCart store. So, Let’s get started with the actual tutorial.

Install Shipping Extension in AbanteCart

First of all, Log in to the admin panel of your AbanteCart store. On the left sidebar of your admin panel, click on the Extensions option. To make this process easier to understand, we have attached screenshots with the step-by-step guide.

From the drop-down menu showing sub-options, click on the Shipping option to get a list of all the available shipping extensions for your AbanteCart store.

As AbanteCart has many extensions available in any category, select the one you need and click on the Install(play) button to install the extension. For this tutorial, I am going to install the FedEx extension that looks like the following image.

To install an additional extension to your store, click on the Install(Play) button corresponding to the extension you want to install on your store. It will start the installation process instantly.

Once the installation is complete, it will redirect you to a new page that will show you more information about your Shipping extension. It will also allow you to set up the required information if needed.

So, that is how we can install an additional shipping extension in our AbanteCart store. You can enable or disable the shipping extensions directly from the list of available extensions.
