Manage Banned IPs in WHMCS

WHM stands for Web Host Manager. It allows you to manage the backend of cPanel. With the help of WHM, you can manage almost everything in the web hosting business. You can manage different cPanel accounts, billing, reseller accounts and much more. In WHM, you can also set up fraud protection to avoid fraud orders or low-quality orders. Similarly, web hosting businesses also face issues from some IP addresses, like brute-force attacks or other bad activities.

Fortunately, there is a way in WHMCS to ban IP addresses. With the help of this feature, you can avoid many issues that you might face if you do not ban IP addresses that can harm your system. So, In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to manage banned IPs in WHMCS.

Manage Banned IP in WHMCS

First of all, log in to the admin panel of your WHM. Once you are there, hover on the Setup tab highlighted in the following screenshot. Hover on the option to reveal a drop-down menu. From the drop-down menu, click on the Other -> Banned IPs option.

You will get a list of banned IP addresses on this page, along with the option to add new banned IP addresses. To add a new IP address to the ban list, Enter the IP address you want to ban, Reason to ban and Ban Expiry. If you do not want to ever allow the IP address to send requests, you can set a longer ban expires time.

After entering all the required information, click on the Add Banned IP button given at the bottom of the form. It will immediately ban the IP address.

To search or find an IP address in the Ban list, click on the Search/Filter tab in the Banned IPs section. Here you can filter for specific data with specific keywords. It makes it easier for you to find in the Banned IP list.
