How to Use WP User Manager Plugin 

Step 1: First of all, go to the “Users” option on the left-hand side panel of the WordPress dashboard. Then select the “Settings” option. 

Step 2: You will see the settings panel. You can modify four sections – General, Emails, Profiles, and Redirects. First, click on the “General” section. You can edit the subsection -general, ogin settings, misc settings under this section. You can select the page where you have added the login shortcode, password recovery page, registration page, account page, and profile page. Once you are done with these settings, click on the ‘Save Changes’ button.

Step 3: After that, go to the “Login Settings” tab under the “General” section. You can redirect your users to the WPUM login page by enabling the option “lock access to wp-login.php.” Moreover, it also allows you to set the option “Allow users to login with.” You can allow your users to log in with a username or email, or both. Once you are done with these settings, click on “Save Changes.”

Step 4: The “Misc settings” tab allows you to modify the options such as restrict dashboard access, roles editor, excluded username, etc. Make sure to click on the “Save Changes” button. 

Step 5: After that, click on the “Email” tab. In this section, you can modify the email notification settings. First, enter the name of your site in the “From name” section. Then enter the email address of your site. You can select the email template or set it to the “Plain text only” option. Now, you can upload your site’s logo by clicking on the “Select file” option from your computer. Make sure to hit the button “Save Changes.”

The “Admin Notification” section lets you enable the options – stop receiving notifications when a new user registers and stop receiving notifications when they reset their password. Click on the “Save Changes” button. 

Step 6: Now, click on the “profiles” tab. You can edit the settings of the user profile. It allows you to disable the user profile, custom avatars: profile cover image, and strong password fields. Click on the “Save Changes” button.

Step 7: The “Profile content” tab under the profile section lets you display posts and comments. It means you can display users’ submitted posts and comments on their profile page. Make sure to click on the ‘Save Changes’ button. Moreover, you can also ask the user for the current password when resetting the password on the account page. This option can be enabled from the “Account” tab under the “Profile” section.

Step 8: Now, go to the “Redirect” tab; you can specify the page where you want to redirect users after they log in, register and log out. Also, you can select a page if you wish to redirect users who try to sign up through wp-login.php. This option is available under the “backend redirects” option under the “Redirects” section. Now, click on the “Save Changes” button. This way, you can easily set up this plugin just with a few clicks.
