Migrating from BlogSpot to InterServer WordPress Hosting

In this documentation, we can check how to move your BlogSpot site to InterServer WordPress Hosting.

 

 

1) Purchase WordPress Hosting from InterServer.

2) Setup the theme and plugin.

3) Export

To export your contents, go to Blogspot admin panel >> Settings >> Others. Click the icon ‘Export blog’, this will save your contents in XML format. Then click ‘Download Blog’ to back up the contents.

4) Import

Once you have export your BlogSpot contents, then we can import it to WordPress.

Go to WordPress >> Tools >> Import. Click the icon ‘Blogger’ import option.

5) Permalinks.

URL structures of BlogSpot and WordPress are very different. So we highly recommended that you should match the BlogSpot URL to WordPress URL.

To do this, go to WordPress >> Settings >> Permalinks.  Check the custom structure box and paste the following code.

/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html

 

4) Import Once you have export your BlogSpot contents, then we can import it to WordPress. Go to WordPress >> Tools >> Import. Click the icon ‘Blogger’ import option.
