SiteBuilder to InterServer Migration

SiteBuilder to InterServer Migration

InterServer provides cPanel control panel to manage your websites through a useful friendly user interface, through which we can host and manage unlimited domains plus email accounts easily. Our Standard WebHosting package comes with cPanel control panel to manage your websites, the migration process between cPanel to cPanel is very easy. However, in case of Site Builder to cPanel migration is not that much easy. But don’t worry! Our Sys Admins will do the Job on behalf of you. All you have to do is take the backup of your website from the Site Builder and upload it to InterServer account.

As you know the Site Builder doesn’t provide any control panels to manage your websites like cPanel did, it’s most suitable for those customers who don’t have much knowledge in website coding to bring up there on the website. Here in this tutorial, I’ll explain how to take the full backup from Site Builder project.

1) Login to your Site Builder Management area and click on Settings from the Widget menu on the left side.

2) This will open a separate window, for Site Settings and scroll down to bottom, then click on “Backup and Restore” button.

Upload Backup to InterServer Account

Once done, you need to upload this backup zip file to your InterServer cPanel account either via cPanel’s File Manager feature or via FTP client such as FileZilla. You can have a look at our KB for how to transfer files over FileZilla to your account at https://www.interserver.net/tips/kb/using-filezilla-to-upload-a-website/

Once it is completed, you need to open a ticket for restoring the backup file so that our support team will do the restoration for you. You could open a ticket from your Client Portal at https://my.interserver.net >> Support >> Open New Ticket. Our support team will get back to you shortly via ticket regarding migration process.
