Solution for EasyApache rebuild fails

 

In this documentation, we can discuss about how we can solve the error which appears most of the time when we re-compile Easyapache3 on a cPanel server. The error which will appear on the re-compilation is as below:

If we execute the command “rpm -qf –queryformat ‘%{VERSION}\n’ /etc/redhat-release” separately on a terminal, we will get another error as below:

Let’s discuss about how we can resolve this issue. For this, please follow the below given steps.

1) Login to your WHM panel with the exact login credentials and click on the icon “Software” on the Home page and then select “Rebuild RPM Database”.

2) Click on “Proceed” to start the RPM database rebuild. This will rebuild the RPM database if its corrupted. This procedure can take 1-30 minutes depending on the speed of the machine.

This will initiate the RPM database rebuild on your WHM panel and at last it shows the rebuild Complete message.

3) After this has been done, login to your server via SSH as root user and execute the below command.

$ /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/gensysinfo

This will fix the above mentioned EasyApache3 re-compilation error on cPanel server.
